Bank of Russia has issued today the new banknote commemorative of the 2018 FIFA World Cup (RUB100.5). It is the first ever Russian polymer banknote.
The front shows a boy dreaming to repeat the achievements of great football players, like Lev Yashin, a famous goalkeeper. The back shows the globe in the form of a football, with the territory of the Russian Federation outlined.
A QR code contains a link to the webpage of the Bank of Russia with the details of the note.
Roughly 21 million notes will be issued.
