The president of the National Bank of Poland decided on 27 June the issue of a 20 zlotych new banknote (PLN20.9) commemorative of the Centennial of Polish Independence.

The new banknote will be issued on August 31, 2018, and 50,000 copies will be printed.

The main details of the new banknote are:

Front: Józef Pilsudski, badge of the Polish Military Organization, Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, badge of the First Legion Brigade.

Back: Polish flag and badge and Legionary eagle holding the Shiel of Amazons.

Size: 150 x 77 mm.
