Wilfredo Cerrato, President of the Banco Central de Honduras, announced today the previously announced new banknotes of 200 lempiras (HNL200.10) commemorative of the Bicentennial of Central America’s Independence will be issued in September.

Twenty million pieces were printed by a German company, most likely Giesecke + Devrient.
