The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan will issue on 14 June 2021 new banknotes of 2,000 sum (UZS2,000.1) and 20,000 sum (UZS20,000.1).

Their main theme is “The Great Silk Road”. Their sizes and motifs are:

2,000 sum  UZS2,000.1  142 x 69 mm.  Bukhara Arch, built in I Century BCE, rebuilt in the IX; X and XVI Centuries in the front, and ruins of the ancient city of Poikend in the back.

20,000 sum UZS20,000.1  147 x 69mm.  Fourth Century “Qo’Yqirilgan Qal’a” monument in the present Republic of Karakalpakstan, an autonomous republic within Uzbekistan in the front, with pottery in the back.

The notes are dated 2021.
