The Advanced Counterfeit Deterrence Committee, part of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, has recommended to change in 2026 the substrate of the 10 dollars banknotes, and in 2028 those of 50 dollars.

The BEP is planning design changes in the following notes:

   10 dollars in 2026

   50 dollars in 2028

   20 dollars in 2030

   5 dollars in 2032-2035

   100 dollars in 2034-2038

The new banknotes will incorporate advanced security devices, both public and covert, to help money handling machine makers to develop new functions in such equipment.
