Bank of Thailand unveiled today its new polymer banknotes of 50 baht (THB50.11) and 100 baht (THB100.15.)
These notes will be issued on 21 November 2025. Current cotton paper notes continue to be legal tender.
Raised Braille numbers and diagonal bars on the edges have been added to help people with diminished sight.
The Bank has found that polymer notes have a much longer life than those printed on cotton paper, resulting in significative savings.
