The Bank of Thailand has unveiled a new family of banknotes in remembrance of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The new notes are of the same denominations and sizes of the current ones, and will be issued for general circulation on September 20.
The front of the notes is similar to the current ones, while the back of each denomination reflects an aspect of the King’s life in his infancy, adolescence and maturity.
The denominations to be issued are 20 baht (THB20.6), 50 baht (THB50.9), 100 baht (THB100.12), 500 baht (THB500.9) and 1,000 baht (THB1,000.9.)
