According to a X posting by Patrick Heinisch “Large quantities of new banknotes have appeared in the markets of El Fasher in Sudan’s North Darfur State state in recent days, after the Rapid Support Forces and their allies paid salaries in Sudanese pounds instead of dollars for the first time.”

Apparently they used the blue notes 0f 1000 pounds of 2019 and 2022.

The recognized government of Sudan issued in 2024 green notes of 1000 pounds (SDG1,000.3) to replace the blue notes dated 2019 (SDG1,000.1) and 2022 (RSD1,000.2.)
