The Central Bank of Sudan announced on 16 August 2022 the release of a modified version of the 1,000 Sudanese pounds banknote dated 2022 (SDG1,000.2) similar to the one dated 2019 (SDG2,000.1) recently issued to circulation.
The new version replaces the hologram located at the front of the 2019 note by a sunflower image, and bears the signature of the new Governor.
