The Government of South Sudan has decided on 3 August 2022 to withdraw from circulations its banknotes of 1; 5; 10 and 25 South Sudanese pounds.
At the current parallel market of about 500 South Sudanese pounds to the U.S. dollar all these notes are worth at best a few pennies.
