Bank of Russia announced in its webpage that it plans to issue a new family of banknotes. The new banknotes to be issued between 2022 and 2025 will include improved security devices and updating of their designs.

The planed banknotes will show themes related to Russian Federation districts, their history and modern achievements, as follows:

10 rubles (RUB10.2)  Siberia.

50 rubles (RUB50.3)  Northwest.

100 rubles (RUB100.6)  Central.

500 rubles (RUB500.4)  North Caucasian.

1,000 rubles (RUB1,000.4)  Privolzhsky.

5,000 rubles (RUB5,000.3)  Ural.

It is possible the new notes will be made in the same style of the 200 (RUB200.1) and 2,000 rubles of 2017 (RUB2,000.1), as both denominations are not included in the announcement.
