Russian banks are switching to Chinese made ATMs. American and European cash handling equipment makers have stopped service and supply because of the Invasion of Ukraine.

There are about 187,500 ATMs in Russia.

Efforts are being made to build the equipment in Russia, but it will take some time until big scale production can be achieved. Chinese suppliers are well positioned to supply ATMs at short notice, and some banks have already made deals with Chinese companies.
