Benjamin Diokno, Philippines’ Finance Secretary, provided additional details on the planned polymer banknotes of 100 piso (PHP500.4) and 500 piso (PHP500.4.)
Their designs were approved by the Monetary Board and President Marcos.
He did not disclosed the exact details of the design, but it is expected that it will stick to the “flora and fauna” series.
He also declared that the new banknotes will most likely by printed by Note Printing Australia, but that he is not sure if it’s within the year.”
