José Cantero, President of the Central Bank of Paraguay, announced that on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the creation of the guaraní a new family of banknotes will be introduced next year..

The current denominations will be maintained, but their sizes will not be uniform, with mask to help the sight impaired.

The new designs will shown the front themes linked to the Guarani race, with the backs devoted to the six ecological areas of Paraguay, with their flora and fauna.
