CBL-Takes-New-Banknote-Campaign-To-Citizens-Differentiates-Between-Old-&-New-L$100

 You saw it here first…

The Central Bank of Liberia announced last week that its new banknotes of 100 dollars (LRD100.3) will start circulating in December 2021.

Those of 20 dollars (LRD20.2), 50 dollars (LRD50.2), 500 dollars (LRD500.2) and 1,000 dollars (LRD1,000.1) will be introduced in the second half of 2022.

The design of the new notes family of notes is somewhat similar to that of the current ones. In the photograph J. Aloysius Tarlue, Governor of the Central Bank shows some of the differences between both.

Old and new notes will co-circulate.
