The Central Bank of Liberia announced yesterday that the first batch of banknotes of 100 dollars (LRD100.2) of a new family will be placed in circulation in December.

This is the first phase of the Central Bank’s plan to issue from this year until 2023 new improved banknotes, to mop out the old ones. Both old and new notes will co-circulate.
