Dr Emmanuel Maluku Letter, Governor of the Central Bank of Lesotho, announced in a speech on 13 July 2013 that a new banknote of 200 maloti (LSL200.3) will be issued to commemorate the 60th birthday of King Letsie III on 17 July 2023. 

A total of five million notes will be issued.
