A new transitional banknote of 100,000 rials (IRR100,000.2) has been recently issued. While denominated in rials it has the value “10” clearly marked in the front and back to indicate its value in new tomans.

 The previously reported banknote of 5 tomans equal to 50,000 rials (IRT5.4) is now in circulation.
