The Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced today the issuance of a new banknote of 100,000 rials (IRR100,000.2).
The new note is equal to 10,000 Toman, and in the denomination the “10” is expressed in dark figures, while the remaining four zeros are in a light hue, to indicate that the note is equal to 10 new toman.
This is done to make public used to the eventual change to the new monetary unit, the new toman equal to 10,000 rials.
