Pankaj Chaudhary, India’s Minister of Finance, answering a question from politician Krishna Devi Shivshankar Patel, confirmed that the Government of India intends to issue one billion each of polymer 10 (INR10.6) and 20 rupees (INR20.7) banknotes.

A few days ago a bid call was made for the supply of a large quantity on polymer substrate for the printing of these notes.
