Banque Centrale de Tunisie has announced the release to circulation of an improved banknote of 20 dinars.
The new banknote (TND20.5.B) is dated 25.07.2025 and is similar to the one issued in 2017 (TND20.5A) except for:
- It has the engraved signatures of Governor Fethi Zouhaier Nouri and Vice Governor Mourad Abdessalem printed on dark red instead of light red.
- The horizontal blind friendly bars on the edges are also printed dark red instead of light red.
The older note continue to be legal tender.
