The European Central Bank opened today a public contest for the design of the new family of euro banknotes.
It is open to graphic designers living in the European Union, and it is planned to be done in two stages.
In the first part participants must meet certain qualifications. Selected designers will be invited to participate in the second phase and submit their design proposals.
The themes chosen are “European culture” and “Rivers and birds.”
After the contest finishes, the public will be invited to provide feedback on the designs selected.
