The commemorative note of 5,000 korun (CZK5,000.2) initially announced for release in March, has been issued this Tuesday 22 September 2026.

It was reported that people were queuing overnight at the Central Bank to have a chance of being able to obtain it.

The exchange for current notes was limited to a maximum of three per person.
