The Central Bank of Cuba has released to circulation this month a new banknote of 1,000 pesos (CUP1,000. 2) commemorative of the 65th Anniversary of the Nationalization of the Banking System by Ernesto Che Guevara.

The front shows the portrait of Julio Antonio Mella. The Complejo Escultórico Comandante Ernesto Guevara is in the back.

It is dated 2025 and co circulates with the prior notes of the same value issued since 2010.
