These are the details of the exchange of kuna to euro:

In Croatia:

  1. Kuna coins and banknotes are legal tender up to 14 January 2023.
  2. Kuna coins and banknotes may be exchanged at local commercial banks, Post Offices and Financial Office until 31 December 2023 free of charge up to 100 banknotes and 100 coins. A fee may be charged for larger quantities.
  3. From 1 January 2024 Hrvatska Narodna Banka will exchange kuna banknotes without time limit.
  4. Kuna coins will be accepted until 31 December 2025.

At other euro area national central banks kuna banknotes can be exchanged free of charge until 20 February 2023 up to HRK 8,000 per day per person or party.
