CORRECTION

The limit for the import and export of local and foreign currency without need to declare for travelers arriving or leaving Brazil has been raised from BRL10,000 to USD10,000 as of 1 January 2023.

The Central Bank of Brazil made the proposal in 2019, but the Senate approved it only last December, and President Jair Bolsonaro signed into law last week.
