On the occasion of the 83rd Anniversary of the introduction of its new monetary unit, the guaraní, Banco Central del Paraguay presented today a new family of banknotes.
The notes of 2,000 (PYG2,000.2); 5,000 (PYG5,000.5) and 10,000 guaraníes (PYG10,000.5) are printed on polymer, while those of 20,000 (PYG20,000.4); 50,000 (PYG50,000.5) and 100,000 guaraníes (PYG100,000.4) are produced on paper. Their sizes are staggered.
