The National Bank of Abkhazia announced this month that it is issuing two numismatic products, a 10 apsars note with a leopard, and one of 100 apsars with the Caucasian red deer. These notes are printed by Goznak in Russia.
A total of 500,000 pieces of 10 apsars and 10,000 of the 100 apsara were printed.
Abkhazia is a republic not widely recognized, on land taken in war from Georgia in 1993.
