The Banco Central de Venezuela has issued a new variety of the 20,000 bolívares fuertes note (VEF20,000.2) dated 13 December 2017.

The main differences are the value in front printed in the same red color of the note, instead of the greenish one, and the security thread very thin, instead of being wide.

This note is intended to be short lived, as it will be retired by June 4, that is if the current plans to create the “bolívar soberano” are on on time.
