Dr John Mushayavanhu, Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor, declared that “the Central Bank is making concerted efforts to ensure delivery of new Zimbabwe gold (ZiG) banknotes in the shortest possible time.”

Currently the circulation is limited to notes of 10 and 20 ZiG (ZWG10 and 20.1.)

New notes of higher denominations are expected to be issued soon. These notes will probably be of better quality than the current ones.
