The Banco Central de Venezuela announced yesterday, 16 August 2024, the release of new banknotes of 200 bolívares digitales (VED200.1) and 500 bolívares digitales (VED500.1.)

These notes will start to circulate soon.

Their front shows three different portraits of Simón Bolívar; and in the back an image of the Battle of Lake Maracaibo and the Rafael Urdaneta bridge.

Their colors are violet and light ochre for the 200 bolívares digitales; and green and light brown in the 500 bolívares digitales.
