The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has officially denied information circulating in social media about a possible redenomination of the Uzbekistani som at the rate of 1,000 old sum for a new one.
In 1994 the sum coupon were replaced by sum banknotes at the rate of 1000:1.
Last year new banknotes of values up to 200,000 sum were issued.
