As there were doubts about the validity of cotton paper banknotes of 50 dollars (TTD50.2 and TTD50.3) the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago has issued an Advisory in which it states that all cotton paper notes of 1; 5; 10; 20 and 50 dollars issued before 2020 will cease to circulate at the end of 2021, and that the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago will continue redeeming them afterwards until further notice.
