The Banco Central de Bolivia will not have the 500 bolivianos banknote in its new family under preparation. At the moment they are working on the design of the 50 bolivianos note. The motifs of the 10 and 20 bolivianos notes have been finished, with the 100 and 200 bolivianos to follow.  The designs will include the heroes and heroines of the Independence War, touristic attractions, and the flora and fauna of Bolivia. The new notes will be of the same size and colors of the current ones, and will be issued next year. It is expected that current notes will remain in circulation until 2019.
