Emanuel Tutuba, Governor of Bank of Tanzania, has announced today that reprinted notes of 1,000 shillings (TZS1,000.5); 2,000 shillings (TZS2,000.2); 5,000 shillings (TZS5,000.4) and 10,000 shillings (TZS10,000.4) will be issued on 1 February 2025.

According to the announcement the new notes will be similar to the ones issued in 2010.

These notes will have the signatures of Minister of Finance Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba and Governor Emanuel Tutuba.
