Mohamed Khair Al-Zobair, governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, announced yesterday that new banknotes of 100 (SDG100.1). 200 (SDG200.1) and 500 Sudanese pounds (SDG500.1) will be issued very soon.

These notes are needed to solve the cash shortage caused by the rampant inflation.
