Here are the picture and details of the new banknote of 50 pounds (SDG50.3) issued yesterday.
It is dated 2018, the dominant colors are rose and violet blue. The front shows the Central Bank building and three gold bars, with a sailboat in the back. In the top left it has the value “50” printed with optical variable ink that changes from golden to green.
The previous notes (SDG50.2) will remain legal tender until further notice.
The new note has been issued because the Central Bank has found many counterfeited bills of the previous issue.
