MP Abdullahi Mohamed Nur, former finance minister, has warned the government against printing new currency.

He said that there are many challenges that need to be addressed by the government before it embarks on printing new currency notes.

To the many risks involved in the project, he adds that Al-Shabaab has already announced that it will threaten business people who accept the new currency.
