The National Bank of Rwanda presented  today new banknotes of 2,000 francs (RWF2,000.3) and 5,000 francs (RWF5,000.8) dated 28.06.2024.

The note of 2,000 francs shows the Lake Kivu in the front, and coffee beans on the back. The only of 5,000 francs has the Kigali Convention Centre and two big baskets.

These are dated 28.06 2024 and will be issued on 3 September 2024. They will co-circulate with the previous banknotes.
