The Central Bank of Russia has informed today 7 February 2025 that its new banknotes of 50 rubles (RUB50.3,) and 500 rubles (RUB500.4.) will be issued in 2028. The ones of 1,000 rubles (RUB1,000.4) are being redesigned, and planned for release in late 2025.

In this release it is also mentioned for the first time a new note of 10 rubles (RUB10.3) to be issued on 2028.
