Sergei Belov, Deputy Chairman of Bank Rossiya, announced plans to present the banknotes of the new family of 1,000 rubles (RUB1,000.4) and 5,000 rubles (RUB5,000.3) in October. By tradition they will hold a joint press conference with Goznak.

The new banknotes will have several advanced security features. Their color will be similar to that of the current ones.
