The National Bank of Romania will issue on 2 December 2024 a numismatic product, a polymer banknote of 100 lei, to commemorate the 185th
anniversary of the birth of King Carol I.
There will be 30,000 pieces issued at a price of 150 leu, which may be ordered using a form to be found on the National Bank webpage.
The notes will also be available at the bank’s Head Office and its branches.
Its size is 147 x 82 mm with a ±1 mm tolerance. The front shows the image of King Carol I the Star of Romania decoration, and a battle scene of the War of Independence.
The back shows the statue of the King and a view of the Peles Castle.
