The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas announced today that it has launched enhanced banknotes that are more responsive to the needs of the elderly and the visually impaired, and feature the latest anti-counterfeiting technology.
The current notes issued after 2010 continue to be in use. A brochure with details of the new notes can be seen at http://www.bsp.gov.ph/publications/tables/2020_07/news-07292020a7.pdf
The new notes will be listed in the next edition of the MRI BANKERS’ GUIDE TO FOREIGN CURRENCY as follows:
50 piso PHP50.3
100 piso PHP100.4
200 piso PHP200.3
500 piso PHP500.3
1,000 piso PHP1,000.3
Here is a list of the improvements with respect to the family of notes originally issued in 2010.

3. Optically Variable Ink (500-Piso and 1000-Piso), color-shifting when tilted; and |

4. Enhanced Value Panel (500-Piso and 1000-Piso) by adding a rolling-bar effect. |
