The Banco Central del Paraguay is in the process of issuing new banknotes to cope with the demand of years’ end bonuses and increased economic activity.
All of the notes to be issued are similar to the previous ones, except for the date 2017 and serial prefix, but some have improvements.
These are the characteristics of the new notes:
2,000 guaraníes 2017 (PYG2,000.1C) Serie D. Similar to the one dated 2011, also printed by the Canadian Bank Note.
5,000 guaraníes 2017 (PYG5,000.4) Serie I, similar to the 2011 one, also printed by printed Canadian Bank Note.
10,000 guaraníes 2017 ( PYG10,000.4E) Serie I, similar to the one dated 2015, printed by PW PW S.A.
20,000 guaraníes 2017 (PYG20,000.3F) Serie H, with segmented OVI thread, shifting green to red. Printed by Thomas de La Rue,
