It has been reported that banknotes from 10 to 5000 rupees will be issued in new family and that one of them will be printed on polymer, most likely the 10 rupees one.

The State Bank of Pakistan and the Pakistani Security Printing Corporation are waiting for the Federal Cabinet to approve the  designs to start printing the new notes.
