A National Bank of Pakistan in Karachi received a shipment of mint notes of 1,000 rupees in which some have in the back only the background, and not the main image of the Islamic College in Peshawar.
This type of error happens when the printing machine feeds two or more sheet of paper at the same time in the last intaglio pass.
The State Bank of Pakistan announced that holders of these notes may bring them to any branch for exchange for a complete note. Obviously collectors would be glad to pay a premium for these misprinted banknotes.
