The Central Bank of Nigeria has issued on 31 October 2023 a Press Release to deny rumors that were circulating in social media about redenomination of the naira in 2024.

“The authors of the message, in their mischief, modified text eked from an old policy move by a previous CBN Governor in 2007 to make it appear recent.”
