Nepal Rastra Bank has issued this Wednesday a modified banknote of 1,000 rupees (NPR1,000.8).
It is dated 2019 and shows Asian twin elephants Ram and Lakshman, born around 2008/09 in Chitwan. Previous notes dated 2013 (NPR1,000.7) have the picture of an African elephant. All show the Himalaya on the front.
