Nepal Rastra Bank is going ahead with its announced plans to modify the map shown in the front of its banknotes.

According with several sources the updated notes will display the areas of Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as part of the territory of Nepal. These areas are being disputed by India.

The bank estimates that the modified notes will be ready in the next six months to one year.
