Alejandro Alegre Rabiela, Head of the Issue Department at Banco de México, announced that the banknote of 200 pesos (MXN200.7) of the new family will be issued in the second semester of this year.

The front will show the portraits of Miguel Hidalgo and José María Morelos, heroes of Independence. The back devoted to the ecosystem of bushes and deserts, will show the Biosphere Reservation of El Pinacate, and the Gran Desierto de Altar.
